How do I find out who won a government contract I bid on, and for how much?

My small business bid on two contracts about two months ago and I haven't heard anything back. We submitted an offer for a school district furniture contract, NAICS 337121, through their state procurement portal. We also responded to a federal RFQ for office furniture, NAICS 337121, that we found on SAM.gov. Both were small business set-asides. I've checked the state portal and SAM.gov multiple times but don't see any award notices or updates. We put a lot of work into these bids and I want to know who won and for how much. Where would I find the award information for a school district contract versus a federal contract? And how can I see the winning price?

You can find award information for federal contracts on SAM.gov, and for state or local contracts on the relevant state procurement portal. For the federal RFQ, the award will be posted on SAM.gov. You can search by the solicitation number. The award notice typically shows the winning vendor and the award amount. Federal agencies must report every contract action over the micro-purchase threshold to the Federal Procurement Data System, as stated in FAR 4.606(a)(1). This data is available through USAspending. For the school district furniture contract, you need to check the specific state procurement portal where you submitted your offer. Many states have portals like Team Georgia Marketplace or Virginia's eVA eProcurement Marketplace. The process for finding award information and pricing will be outlined in that portal's vendor guide or purchasing rules. Sometimes, you may need to submit a public records request to get the full bid tabulation for state and local awards. This will show all bids received and their prices.

Thanks, Tom. I will check SAM.gov using the [solicitation number](https://govcon.forum/glossary/solicitation-number/) for the federal RFQ. For the school district, I'll start with their specific state procurement portal. · Priya S. ·

Priya, you can request a post-award debriefing for the federal contract to learn more about the award decision. An offeror is entitled to a postaward debriefing if its written request is received by the agency within 3 days after the date it received notification of contract award, as described in FAR 15.506(a)(1). To the maximum extent practicable, a postaward debriefing should occur within 5 days after the agency receives the written request. This debriefing will tell you the agency's evaluation of your offer, the overall ranking of all offers, and the award price. Tom is correct about checking the state portal for the school district contract, and a public records request is a good option if the information is not readily available.
