House rules
- Answer first, explain second. Put the direct answer in the first sentence, then the reasoning and the steps.
- Cite the rule. FAR part, SBA regulation, the portal's vendor guide, the state procurement code, or your own bid history described as experience. Say which.
- No selling in answers. No consultant, software, prime or vendor recommendations, no links to your services, no "DM me". Describe what a good one does instead. Advertising is removed and repeat offenders are banned.
- No invented numbers. Thresholds and deadlines come from the regulation with the citation. Win rates, prices and "averages" without a source are removed.
- Buyers speak for themselves. Government members post as individuals, never for their agency, and never about a source selection that is still open.
- Nothing confidential. No source selection information, no competitor pricing you saw in a debrief, no documents marked for official use only.
- Be specific when you ask. Agency level, the NAICS or service, the set-aside if any, the deadline, what you have already tried.
- Keep it civil. Disagree with the answer, not the person.
