What are the CPARS evaluation requirements for federal contracts exceeding the SAT?

My firm just won our first federal contract, a janitorial services award for a federal building. The NAICS code is 561720, and it was a small business set-aside. The contract is above the simplified acquisition threshold, so I know our performance will be evaluated in CPARS. I've heard they do it annually, but also at the end of the contract. What are the CPARS evaluation requirements for federal contracts exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold? When does the government prepare these evaluations, and how often?

The government prepares CPARS past performance evaluations for each federal contract and each order exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold at least annually and at completion of the work. This requirement is found in FAR 42.1502(a) and (b). For construction contracts, the threshold is $900,000 or more, and for architect-engineer services contracts, it is $45,000 or more, as stated in FAR 42.1502(e) and (f). Your janitorial services contract will be evaluated annually because it is above the simplified acquisition threshold. The final evaluation will be done when the work is completed. This process ensures the government has a record of your firm's performance.
